🎓 Bitcoin 101: Bitcoin is too complicated!
A frequent criticism levelled at Bitcoin is that it is “too complicated”. So Sam Baker at River put together this helpful graphic to demonstrate the simplicity of the US dollar system, which you know and love 😉.

📈 Trending Topics in the News
1. European Elections Results
The Scoop🕵️♂️: Both the UK and France had elections this last week. The UK elected Keir Starmer’s “Labour” Party and the France’s left wing alliance the “New Popular Front” has gained the majority of seats, but no party gained an absolute majority. The New Popular Front is expected to form a coalition government with Macron and it will likely be a few weeks before it is known who will be the new PM.
Why you should care🚨: The results indicate that both countries can now expect further taxation in an effort to reduce global temperatures, and less stringent migration controls. These policies seem contrary to what the majority of the public desires, and very much highlight the issues around our electoral systems, particularly the UK’s “first past the post”. All eyes are now on the US elections in November.
2. How Much Bitcoin Does Your Government Have?
The Scoop🕵️♂️: Sani, founder at TimeChainIndex.com, a site that tracks bitcoin addresses, recently announced that they had created a dedicated section for governments on their platform.
Why you should care🚨: Several nations states hold significant amounts of Bitcoin, mostly seized from criminal activities. Germany has sold off $390m of its BTC holdings and recently moved an additional $75m onto exchange. Selling BTC for any other asset, but especially rapidly debasing fiat currencies is the very definition of 🥬 lettuce hands 🤲 and German MP Joana Cotar was quick to call them out.

🚀 Founders - Proton Drive & Pleb Lab’s Hackerspaces
What is Proton Drive? 💾
Government-sponsored snooping in concert with Big Tech has become a very serious issue. However, help is at hand. Proton has introduced free and secure cloud storage for collaborative document editing. This is a huge improvement on Google Docs, which though widely used, has very low standards of privacy. Now, multiple users can work on the same document in real-time with the assurance that all data remains encrypted end-to-end, reflecting Proton's commitment to user privacy and data protection.
Why You Should Care 💡
Data privacy is increasingly important in our digital interactions. With Proton Drive, you can efficiently work with others on shared documents without compromising security. This feature is particularly valuable for those handling sensitive information, ensuring that all collaborative efforts are safeguarded against data breaches and unauthorised access.
