From Banking to Bitcoin
Why and how I opted out of fiat slavery
To many, the world of finance is synonymous with glamour and ambition. Early in my career, I joined a multinational corporation, where colleagues came from all corners of the globe. The company invested heavily in training us in finance, offering what seemed like a golden path to success.
During an economics training session, we were learning how to price bonds. I asked the tutor why inflation occurred, and she casually responded, “Well, it’s because people keep asking for pay raises, obviously.”
But this explanation didn’t sit right with me. Shouldn’t employees be compensated more as they gain experience? Seasoned professionals retire, while younger employees enter the workforce at entry-level positions. Why should a rise in wages, justified by experience, trigger inflation across an entire economy?
Then came 2008—the financial crisis. The world was shaken as we learned how deeply banks had gambled with risk. Across London, restaurants slashed prices to draw customers in during the so-called “credit crunch.” Protests flared at St. Paul’s Cathedral and in the City of London. In a strange twist of fate, I ended up working for several years in the old Lehman Brothers building in Manhattan. Back in 2008, during the collaps, protesters had gathered on the streets of New York with signs saying: “Jump, you f*ckers”.
In 2021, I left the banking industry and dove into the world of Bitcoin. This decision shattered my entire worldview. Once you see the flaws embedded in our financial and monetary systems, you can’t unsee them. This revelation sends curious minds down a rabbit hole, challenging every assumption they’ve ever made. It’s a cathartic, albeit painful, experience.
Noticing the lack of women in Bitcoin, I made it my mission to educate other women, and so Access Tribe was born. I hosted events, organized networking sessions, led training programs, and interviewed inspiring women in the Bitcoin space for my podcast.
This journey has been nothing short of amazing. It’s allowed me to meet incredible individuals—deep thinkers, open-minded innovators, and pioneers who are focused on building a better world.
If you’ve never attended a Bitcoin conference, I highly recommend it. You’ll make lifelong friends, forge deep connections, and have conversations more profound than you could imagine. Bitcoin brings together a diverse community of Christians, atheists, psychonauts, philosophers, mathematicians, scientists, politicians, DJs, artists, environmentalists, veterans—the list goes on. We are building a peaceful army.
But we can’t afford to rest. Currently, an estimated 200 million people hold Bitcoin, and maybe half of them have taken the time to truly understand it. We need the world to join this life-raft as the ship of fiat currency sinks.
Central banks and their corrupt government stooges are panicking. Bitcoin poses an existential threat to the established order, and the parasitic class’s immune system is in full anaphylactic shock. They are doing everything they can to maintain centralised control of the global monetary system. This is why you are seeing a steep increase in censorship, surveillance and political prosecutions.
We have reached the “they fight you” phase of Bitcoin’s evolution.
Now is the time to ask yourself if you are wearing the armour. Because you are fighting for something much greater than your personal wealth, much greater than a financial asset and much greater than a monetary technology. You are fighting for the freedom of humanity, for liberation from the enslavement of fiat, and for a better world where the fruits of your labor will no longer be stolen by the corrupt, parasitic beast that has ensnared the world in its venomous tentacles.
Bitcoin represents hope. Bitcoin is freedom. Bitcoin is love. It is the peaceful revolution we’ve been waiting for.
